Instructors McCaughey, Flannery, Gunnus, Kempf, Ellis, DeGarmo lead Firefighters from Salem Lakes Fire, South Shore Fire, Bristol Fire, Somers Fire, Town of Lynn Fire, and Pleasant Prairie Fire as they came together and were given a scenario of an excavation of an intersecting "T-trench" that collapsed and dropped pipe onto the victim.

Students learned the proper technique for stabilizing a trench, using "lifting and cribbing" to lift pipe off victim and rope ops to remove their victim from a trench.

This offering is available for anyone or any Fire/EMS agency that wants to learn it and or set up a team. This offering can be found through workforce development in Gateway Fire's Program offerings.
